QT UR EA
Trauma Bar und Kino, 2020 Berlin
QT UR EA is an environment unifying installation by Mary-Audrey Ramirez and LUKAS8K incorporating installation, performance, motion-capture and real-time virtual worlds, as well as dance, sound and permaculture.
“ The performance peaked with a group of dancers in inflated PVC snoods throwing themselves at each other in a ceremonial and confrontational dance. "

The title refers to a planet (EA), its alien inhabitants (UR), and the perceptible reality which limits the (QT). The perfunctory nature of the titles speaks to the failure to translate an alien language into a human dialect; this is countered by the sensory and immersive nature of the installation and performance, creating a living, breathing world.
